PASCAL LOJİSTİK

Turkey–Russia Freight Transport

At Pascal Lojistik, we arrange full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments from Turkey to Russia.

We plan vehicles and routes for commercial cargo, including textiles, industrial goods, machinery components and spare parts.

When planning a shipment, we consider more than the freight rate. We review the pickup location, delivery address in Russia, package dimensions and where customs clearance will take place. From preparation to delivery, we coordinate communication between the shipper, carrier, consignee and customs broker.

How can you ship goods from Turkey to Russia?

We start by reviewing the type of goods, number of packages, dimensions and total gross weight. Once the pickup and delivery locations are confirmed, we assess LTL and FTL options and prepare a freight quotation.

After the quotation is accepted, we confirm the loading date and vehicle arrangements. The commercial invoice, packing list and shipment details are checked with the parties involved. Once export formalities are completed, the truck begins its transit journey. We also coordinate with the consignee and customs broker during customs clearance and final delivery in Russia.

Shipping to Russia via Iran

We currently use the road route through Iran for our Turkey–Russia shipments. On this route, trucks travel from Turkey into Iran, then continue through Azerbaijan to Russia.

The general route is:

Turkey → Gürbulak–Bazargan → Iran → Azerbaijan → Russia → Delivery destination

The pickup location in Turkey and destination city in Russia affect the total distance and transport plan. Border crossings and transit arrangements are confirmed before dispatch, based on the cargo, the carrier’s permits and current border conditions.

Iran is a transit country on this route. The cargo’s destination is Russia, and transit formalities are followed as part of the shipment process.

Full truckload shipping to Russia

With FTL shipping, the truck is reserved for one customer’s cargo. This option can be considered if your shipment fills a truck or you prefer it to travel separately from other customers’ goods.

Vehicle selection depends on both the cargo’s weight and the space it occupies. Pallet count, package lengths, stackability and loading requirements all affect the transport plan. Dimensions should be provided before quotation, especially for long profiles, machinery components and bulky goods.

We confirm the pickup and delivery addresses, vehicle type and scope of service before arranging the shipment.

Less-than-truckload shipping to Russia

With LTL shipping, cargo that does not fill an entire truck travels alongside other shipments on the same route. This option can suit businesses sending a few pallets, boxes or crates.

LTL rates depend on weight, volume, truck space required and the delivery location. Non-stackable or oversized packages may occupy more space than standard pallets of the same weight.

Departure schedules, cargo consolidation and delivery arrangements also affect transit time. We therefore provide an estimated departure and delivery schedule with the quotation.

What types of cargo do we arrange transport for?

Commercial goods shipped from Turkey to Russia include:

  • Textiles

  • Industrial goods and equipment

  • Machinery components

  • Spare parts

  • Building materials and accessories

  • Palletised, boxed or crated commercial cargo

Transport eligibility and document requirements are assessed for each product. Technical details should be shared before loading if the goods require special handling or transport conditions.

Shipment documentation for Turkey–Russia transport

Missing or inconsistent information in documents can cause delays during loading or customs clearance. We check that product descriptions, package counts, quantities and weights are consistent across the shipment documents.

Depending on the shipment, these may include:

  • Commercial invoice: Contains seller and buyer details, product descriptions, quantities and sales values.

  • Packing list: Shows the number of packages, packaging type, dimensions and weights.

  • CMR consignment note: Records the shipper, carrier, consignee and road transport details.

  • Export and transit documents: Prepared according to the customs procedures and route.

  • Product-specific documents: Certificates of origin, conformity documents or other paperwork may be required depending on the goods.

Document requirements vary by shipment. We work with the shipper, consignee and customs brokers to establish which documents are needed.

How do we monitor your shipment?

Before loading, we confirm that the goods are ready and agree on a suitable loading time. We share vehicle arrangements, driver details and loading instructions with the parties involved.

Once the truck departs, we obtain updates from the carrier on border crossings, transit progress and delivery plans. We inform our customers of delays or changes and stay in contact with the consignee and customs broker during clearance and delivery in Russia.

Frequently asked questions

How long does road freight from Turkey to Russia take?

Transit time depends on the pickup city, delivery address in Russia, route and border traffic. For LTL shipments, consolidation and delivery schedules also affect the timing. We provide an up-to-date estimate once the cargo details and shipment date are confirmed.

Can I send one or a few pallets to Russia?

Yes. LTL shipping can be considered for commercial cargo that does not fill an entire truck. To prepare a quotation, we need the pallet count, dimensions of each pallet, total gross weight and delivery address.

How is the Turkey–Russia freight rate calculated?

The rate depends on the pickup and delivery locations, vehicle type, cargo weight and space requirements, shipment date and route. Stackability also matters for LTL shipments. We clearly state which services and charges are included in the quotation.

How should goods shipped to Russia be packed?

Packaging should suit the product’s weight and fragility. Palletised goods need to be secured, and boxes or crates should be strong enough to remain intact during transport. We review packaging and loading requirements before dispatch for fragile, long or heavy goods.

Who handles customs clearance in Russia?

Import customs clearance is handled by the customs broker appointed by the consignee. Pascal Lojistik follows up on the exchange of transport documents and shipment information and coordinates the operation between the carrier and consignee.

What information do I need to request a quotation?

Please provide the type of goods, pickup address, delivery address in Russia, package count, package dimensions and total gross weight. The cargo readiness date and whether the packages can be stacked also help us prepare an accurate quotation.
